
2010 Mini Countryman
The Countryman is the version of SUV / crossover the iconic Mini and will be officially presented at the next Geneva Motor Show, only to be marketed throughout Europe during 2010. The new model, which you can see the first official images, is 4.09 meters long and has a wheelbase of 2:59 meters, compared with the Mini sedan has a more spacious and versatile interior, thanks to the increased size and bodywork of five doors. The new Mini Countryman will be available in Italy in three specifications (One, Cooper and Cooper S) and five engines, all Euro 5 from 1.6 litters of displacement.
The engine range will consist of three petrol engines with power ranging between 98 and 184 hp, and two diesels by 90 and 112 Hp. Versions Countryman Cooper S and Cooper D will be provided in the optional all-wheel drive All4, derived directly from X-Drive BMW home. Normally, the power will be distributed to 50% on both axes, while in case of poor adhesion combined with electro-hydraulic differential system DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) will distribute torque as needed, up to 100% on a single board. The new Mini Countryman will be assembled by Magna factories in Austria in Graz, in which already produces the BMW X3. In Italy sales should begin in May with a list price starting at 20,000 euros.
